The term “wildfire” applies to any unwanted, unplanned, uncontrolled outdoor fire.

IMBA-SORBA Middle TN has entered in to a formal relationship with Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation. In a December 2009 Parks board meeting an “Annual Permit” was approved by the board. Typically referred to as an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), the Annual Permit will allow greater involvement and stewardship by our local chapter as well as enhance the trail experience.
Our chapter has submitted drawings and plans to update the lakeside trail kiosk and build a new trail info center at the Ned Shelton Pinnacle trail head by Spring 2010. …

Darryl and I loaded up the bikes and camping gear early Friday morning and headed down to South Carolina for the first of the 2 planned Board of Directors meetings this year. IMBA is starting to implement a Regional Level design to try to get other areas of the nation coming together, working together, sharing ideas, resources, etc… They are modeling this off of the SORBA model, so this Board of Directors meeting is really the Southeast’s RLC meeting and already ahead of the game.
