Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

The Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association of Middle TN (SORBA) which is the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) for the Southeast, is hosting Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day and Cane Ridge. After wet weather postponment following the Trail Ribbon Cutting with Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, we have a great Sunday Afternoon planned with lunch and family fun.

Cost: This is a free event! Becoming a member of IMBA-SORBA and donations are encouraged.
What to bring:
Bicycle & Helmet required (If you are riding)
Closed-toe shoes required
Gloves (recommended)
Water bottle (recommended)
Please fill out the pre-registraion form below to help us ensure that we are adequately
staffed for the event. Parents or accompanying adults must sign a waiver before the ride and accompany their child on the ride.
After Pre-Registering, kids bikes will be eligdable for a FREE Bicycle Saftey Check at participating Bike

Reminders and what to expect:
Day of event registration & check in will start at 12:00pm and continue throughout the event.
All participants must sign a waiver and helmets are required (NO EXCEPTIONS!!!).
Activities include basic bike safety, a skills course, trail rides for all ages and local food trucks.
This local event is part of a nationwide celebration known as “Take-A-Kid-Mountain-Biking Day,” supported by IMBA. The event purpose is to provide a means for kids and their families to enjoy local trails together. Along with the complete trail Phase One, the Nashville Metro Parks Department will allow bikes on certain Cane Ridge Park green space so beginners can enjoy key parts of the event. Contributions from IMBA and Cliffbar will also make for a fun event.
Participants will need to bring their own bikes and helmets.
Bike gloves are recommended, but not required.
Parents are encouraged to ride with their children.
This is a great opportunity to pass your passion for pedaling on to kids.
